LOMITA RAILROAD MUSEUM in Lomita

The museum was built in 1966. After much research they chose to copy the Boston & Maine’s Greenwood Station at Wakefield, Mass., which was built before the turn of the century. Complete authenticity is the hallmark of the Museim.

On display is a SP steam locomotive (1902-1960) and tender. Nearby stand a 1910 UP caboose and modern all-steel Santa Fe caboose.

On display at the Annex Park are a 1923 Union Oil Tank Car and 1913 SP outsidebraced wood box car. On site is a water tower.

Admission: $4.00 for adults,

                 $2.00 for children under 12

                 Parking: located on adjacent lot, parking is Free.

      Hours: Thursday thru Sunday, 10:00 am—5:00 pm
